At 638 PM CDT, a destructive severe thunderstorm was located over Turkey, moving north at 45 mph. Wind gusts to 81 mph are occurring with this storm! THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR TURKEY. HAZARD...80 mph wind gusts and two inch hail. SOURCE...West Texas Mesonet. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be heavily damaged. Expect considerable damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles. Extensive tree damage and power outages are likely. Locations impacted include... Memphis, Turkey, Brice, Lakeview, and Plaska Community.
