Special Weather Statement
“Special Weather Statement issued October 29 at 7:00AM CDT by NWS Sioux Falls SD”
Areas of fog have developed this morning, with dense fog primarily confined to areas along and near river valleys. Though fog may spread a bit farther, the greatest chance of dense fog will continue to be along and near river valleys through the morning commute Thursday. Make sure to use your low beam headlights when driving in fog and consider leaving extra time to get your destination. Any fog should lift entirely between 10 and 11 am.

River levels are shown against their usual, but not yet judged. A gauge’s usual here is its range of October monthly averages; the reading is the latest 15-minute value, which a passing rain or dry spell can carry outside that range. So no river gauge makes this county Unusual For Here until we compare each day with the same day’s history.

A gauge’s usual is its range of October monthly averages over its record (USGS).
